This health policy expert explains the newly created health care delivery model known as the Accountable Care Organization(ACO), which is the 21st century version of the HMO. Like it's predecessor, all knowing politicians are promising increased efficiency and quality while driving down the cost of healthcare. As this expert predicts, the ACO will most probably fail like the HMO, in delivering a better product for less.
