"Docs4PatientCare.org is a politically neutral grassroots coalition of physicians. Use of any politically partisan terms does not reflect the position of Docs4PatientCare.org. We do encourage our speakers to express how they feel and we post articles based on their informative content only. Any politically partisan language used does not reflect the group as a whole. Specific party or political allegiances and opposition are not our intent. The goal of D4PC is only to advocate for effective and responsible health care reform."
Last week, we learned that despite promises to the contrary by the WH and Majority Party leaders, their HCR bill would actually cost at least $133 Billion more over the first 10 years. Now we learn of another failed promise: "If you like your doctor and health insurance, you can keep it". Insurance companies and physicians are already consolidating their businesses in order to blunt the impact of the new law's additional burdens and regulations. As a result, the 2 outcomes we predicted all along are virtually guaranteed to happen: fewer choices and long waiting times to access the new era healthcare system.
