Docs4PatientCare Prescription for Health Care Reform Only Viable Alternative
[Washington, DC] [November 15, 2011] -- Docs4PatientCare, an organization of concerned physicians committed to the establishment of a health care system that preserves the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship applauded the decision of the United States Supreme Court to hear arguments on the constitutionality of ObamaCare, specifically the individual mandate provision of the law.
Docs4PatientCare Founder and President Hal Scherz stated, “The decision by the US Supreme Court to hear the case challenging the constitutionality of the federal government compelling individuals to purchase healthcare insurance or face a penalty was anticipated by most people following this issue. The foundation of our freedom is at risk when the federal government can decide how Americans must spend their own money. If this decision is allowed to stand, then there is no end to federal authority over its citizens.
Sadly though, most informed "experts" do not expect Obamacare to be struck down by the court; only the individual mandate. This will leave the law even more dysfunctional than it currently is. It will be up to a Congress and a President who views the rights of patients super-ceding the powers of government, to rid our country of this poorly conceived law, and replace it with a healthcare policy and plan that is right for all Americans."
Dr. Richard Armstrong, the Chief Operating Officer of Docs4PatientCare added, “This is the most important case since Roe vs. Wade, possibly the most important case in our nation’s history. This case, although dealing with American health care, truly concerns the limits of federal power. If the individual mandate stands as constitutional, our nation is forever changed and we lose our Republic, as Benjamin Franklin so famously warned."
The physicians at Docs4PatientCare recently presented a Prescription for Health Care Reform that addresses the root causes of the problems that have developed in our health care system over the last 50 years. These reforms relieve the federal government of its role as a health insurance provider, prevent the intrusion of the government in the health care free market, and place patients in control of their own health care decisions. The reform plan from Docs4PatientCare may be found here - http://docs4patientcare.org/prescription.
Docs4PatientCare is an organization of concerned physicians committed to the establishment of a health care system that preserves the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship, promotes quality of care, supports affordable access to all Americans, and protects patients' personal health care decisions. Docs4PatientCare urges physicians and patients to get involved in order to preserve the good qualities of our healthcare system, address the problems, while preventing its bureaucratic destruction.
